The 24 GOOD DEEDS Advent Calendar is a unique way to support a wide range of social and environmental projects worldwide. For example, one calendar door might protect 150 m² of Amazon rainforest in Brazil, provide a meal for a child in Nepal, or partially fund a holiday trip for a child in need in Germany.
Your donation amount is flexible, starting at €1. Important! You donate this amount per project, meaning per calendar door. Starting from €24, you will receive the 24 GOOD DEEDS Advent Calendar as a thank you gift so you can see which specific projects you’re supporting.

75 percent of the donations collected through the Advent calendar go to charitable purposes, 25 percent to administration and marketing. After covering nonprofit expenses of 24guteTaten e.V., the remaining amount is evenly distributed among the 24 calendar projects.
We take the monitoring of donation use very seriously. Each organization signs a contract that defines the implementation of the good deed. Additionally, aid organizations must document their project progress through detailed reports, receipts, and photos.
Our organization is also committed to transparency . That’s why we report annually on our activities and disclose how we use our funds.

In the context of transparency, the question naturally arises regarding recognized donation seals, such as the one from DZI. We have consciously decided against such a seal, even though we value their work. This decision has several reasons.
On the one hand, applying for the seal incurs costs—every year anew—since the seal is generally only valid for four quarters. We strive to keep administrative costs as low as possible so that more of the donations can go directly into the projects. Furthermore, we do not consider it meaningful to evaluate an NGO primarily based on administrative expenses, as some seals do, without looking at the actual content and impact of their work.
Some types of work simply require more funding than others. The same applies to advertising—no NGO operates the same way in terms of outreach, as different target groups require different marketing approaches, which vary in cost. Therefore, focusing solely on the cost-benefit factor does not, in our opinion, do justice to the work of NGOs and says little about their quality. Some seals do not examine the actual impact of an organization’s work at all, while others focus only on maximizing impact.
Neither approach always seems meaningful, as the topics we cover are very diverse but all important according to different criteria. Instead, we publish our financials and activities according to the standards of the Initiative for Transparent Civil Society on our website for individual assessment. These standards are also a prerequisite for the project partners we support.
